Authority is not access

The grant proves you are allowed in. It does not tell you where the door is.

The law can name you executor and hand you a grant of probate. It cannot tell you which bank held the account, where the policy documents are, or what the password was. Authority and access are different problems, and only one of them is solved by paperwork.
