● The discipline behind ValorenHeritage · v1.0

Built on a documented estate-records discipline.

Authority from the rigour of the practice — not from age

Valoren is the consumer implementation of a documented estate-records discipline — the work of SENRA (the Standard for Estate Notation, Records & Archiving), being drafted under the Standard Index Group, in formation. The authority here rests on the discipline of the practice, not on any claim of lineage.

I · The structure

The institutional family.

Three entities · distinct mandates · one continuous discipline

Three entities, each with a distinct mandate. The estate-records discipline being drafted, the body in formation that holds it, and the consumer product that puts it to work for households.

Principles, not provenance

A new institution,
standing on its discipline.

This is a new body, formed in 2026. Its authority rests on the discipline of its practices — not on age, and not on borrowed heritage. What can be relied on is written down, kept current, and open to scrutiny.

III · What comes next

The forward commitment.

Drafted now · kept current · released to the commons in time

There is a standing commitment: the work is intended to enter the public domain over time. This is a stated intention, not a scheduled event — but it shapes how the work is done. Every decision is made on the assumption that it will eventually be open to public scrutiny.

IV · What is locked

The design principles.

Some rules are foundational · we do not revise them in good moods

The following are foundational design principles. Each is built into the discipline at the outset and is not amended for short-term convenience.

§I.
Public-domain intent
The work is intended to enter the public domain over time. Holding that intention prevents mission drift toward institutional self-preservation.
§II.
Separation of powers
The discipline and its consumer delivery are held apart. So that commercial pressure on the product cannot quietly lower the standard of the practice.
§III.
Material permanence over digital convenience
Archive-grade physical materials remain readable when digital systems migrate or fail. The fallback layer is paper, deliberately and irrevocably.
§IV.
The errata discipline
Corrections are documented publicly, not silently fixed. Trust comes from admission of fallibility, not from claims of perfection.
§V.
Discipline over institution
The discipline is the thing that matters. The work is built to outlast any single entity that maintains it — and that, deliberately, is the point.
