Valoren builds the operational workspace that helps your family navigate daily life, handovers, and the administrative reality of bereavement.
We organise records, structure tasks, and release information to trusted people on your terms.
Valoren prepares your records and the core documents — a legally binding will within a defined simple-estate boundary, and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Where a matter needs regulated advice — legal, tax, or financial — it moves to Signum, the specialist practice in our group: qualified people dealing with qualified matters, with your records already in order.
This boundary is deliberate. It is what allows the rest of the product to be precise: a clean operational system, not a quasi-legal grey zone. Calculator outputs are informational and not regulated tax or legal advice.

End-to-end encrypted on sensitive fields
We cannot
read it.
Data is encrypted on your device with a key that lives only on your device. What Valoren stores is ciphertext.
If our database were stolen tomorrow, the attacker would have nothing readable. If a court ordered us to hand over your information, we would have nothing readable to give them.The architecture is the privacy guarantee.

The two-location principle
Documents in one place. Master access in another. By design.
A single point of failure is the most common cause of estate-recovery failure. If everything lives together — the documents and the keys to them — losing one means losing both. Valoren splits them.
Location A
The documents
Your filled records, prepared documents, response briefs. Stored encrypted on UK infrastructure. Mirrored on your device. Formatted to print at home on archival stock — a posted pack (Valoren Welcome wallet, or a cloth-bound binder on Estate Standard Seal) is a planned optional upgrade.

Location B
The WARRANT
A separate physical card stored apart from the documents. Holds master access routes, recovery codes, and the location index that points back to Location A.

If a flood destroys Location A, Location B still gets your Trusted Persons to your accounts. If Location B is compromised, the documents in Location A remain encrypted and inaccessible without the WARRANT. The two must be defeated separately for failure to occur.

Our commitments
Nine promises. Stated plainly.
Your sensitive data is end-to-end encrypted. Sensitive fields — passwords, account numbers, PINs, recovery codes — are end-to-end encrypted in your browser before upload. Valoren cannot read them. This protection stands whenever your vault is unlocked with your key; if you ever choose to enter without unlocking, we tell you so at that moment, and anything you add is stored without it until you next unlock.
All other data (record names, statuses, metadata) is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.2+. UK-hosted infrastructure: your data is stored in the United Kingdom.
Where specialist document processing takes place outside the UK, it is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
Valoren does not sell your data. Valoren does not sell it. Does not share it with advertisers. Does not monetise it in any way other than providing the service you paid for.

Sealed messages are copied to an independent archive. Sealing a message sets its deposit in motion — into a separate archive on a different storage provider, a different account, different billing, from everything else we run. Each message carries a visible pending state until its deposit is confirmed. The credentials our systems use can add to that archive but cannot delete stored versions; that restriction is enforced by the storage provider, not by our code.
Behind that mechanism, a daily sweep reconciles everything sealed against everything deposited as the recovery floor, and a monthly drill proves sealed items still open exactly the way delivery will. The mechanism is documented in full at valoren.uk/custody.

Without a system
Most cloud services lock you out at the moment they fail.
Reference numbers, account maps, recovery codes — all gone with the company.
With Valoren
Your prepared records are exportable at any time and stay readable without Valoren. Once exported, nothing about them depends on our servers. The records survive the operator.
SC.02
If your phone is stolen or a device is compromised
Without a system
You don't know which accounts are linked to that device.
Recovery codes are on the device itself.
Some accounts can be permanently locked.
With Valoren
Digital Access Map lists every account on every device. Recovery Routes stores backup codes at Location B, separated by design from any single device. The two-location principle is what makes this recoverable rather than catastrophic.

If your home is destroyed by fire, flood, or theft
Without a system
Insurance policy numbers are in the filing cabinet that just flooded.
