Most records exist, are findable, and a second person knows where to act. The work is maintenance.

Prepared

Most pieces in place. A few specific gaps remain. Closing them takes hours, not weeks.

Functional

Some structure exists, but the gaps are real. Family would manage, but with searching and guessing.

Significant Gaps

Foundational pieces missing or out of date. Family would face weeks of reconstruction. Bounded work to fix.
