Write down where things are kept, once. The will, the deeds, the paperwork, the accounts — so whoever needs them later can find them without searching the house.
Write down where a password is kept — not the password itself. So “in my Bitwarden vault” rather than the password. Passwords, PINs and door codes have their own place: set out how someone would get in.
Write it down once
Everything you prepare later points back to this list rather than repeating the address. Move the deeds to a different drawer, change it here, and every mention of them stays right.
Someone can actually find it
Without this, whoever is sorting out your affairs opens every drawer in the house. With it, "where is the will?" is a question with an answer, on the day they most need one.
Places, never keys
This records where things are — not how to get into them. Passwords, PINs and combinations belong somewhere built to hold them safely, kept separately from a list like this one.
