A valid will is not an executable will. A registered LPA is not a usable LPA. A signed letter of wishes is not a findable letter of wishes. The single most common reason families cannot execute the legal plan they paid for is routing failure — the document exists, but no one knows where it lives, who holds it, or what they need to access it.
This register fixes that. It is the complete map of every important physical place, digital location, professional holding, and access route for the household. It does not contain the documents themselves. It contains the route to them.
The 72-hour test. If you were not here, could a competent adult find every document this household relies on, in the right order, within 72 hours, without having to guess? If the answer is no, the Letter Pack and the will are valid but not executable. This register makes them executable.
Physical places — inside the house
The Family Records folder: the single place the household's core documents live — both wills, the registered LPAs, life insurance schedules, marriage certificate, birth certificates, NHS records summary, and the Designated Places Register itself. Record the exact location, who can access it, and the date it was last verified.

Original signed instruments held by the solicitor: the wills, the sealed letter of wishes, certified copies of the LPAs, and the sealed Emergency Kit envelope. Record the firm name, the contact partner, the matter reference, and under what instructions each document is released.
